Sullia: Series of road accidents leave several injured

Sullia, Sep 30, 2025: Several people sustained injuries in a series of road accidents that took place in and around Sullia on Sunday.

In the first incident near Panjigundi on the Mani–Mysuru National Highway, a Baleno car traveling from Sullia towards Mangaluru collided head-on with an Alto coming from Puttur towards Guttigaru. Three people, including the Baleno driver and two occupants of the Alto, were injured and admitted to Sullia Hospital.

In another accident near Vishnu Circle, an Innova from Bengaluru and a jeep from the Uberadka region collided. Both vehicles suffered damage, but the passengers escaped with minor injuries.

A third mishap occurred near the KSRTC bus stand, where a woman crossing the road was struck by a scooter. The woman and the rider sustained minor injuries.

All injured persons received medical care at nearby hospitals. Local police have registered cases and are investigating the circumstances of the accidents.
