Sullia: Man Allegedly Attacks Wife, Mother-in-Law With Sharp Weapon in Peruvaje

Sullia, Sep 6, 2026: A 38-year-old man allegedly assaulted his wife and mother-in-law with a sharp weapon following a family dispute at Mukkuru in Peruvaje village, under the jurisdiction of the Bellare police station, on Sunday afternoon.

The accused, identified as Ganesh, allegedly attacked his wife Vinitha, 32, and her mother Kusuma, 50, leaving both injured.

The two women were rushed to a hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Both have reportedly undergone surgery. Meanwhile, Ganesh allegedly consumed rat poison and is also receiving treatment at a hospital.

The Bellare police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
