Sullia: MESCOM staffer killed as bike crashes into electric pole

Sullia, Mar 25, 2026: A MESCOM staff member was killed after his motorcycle rammed into an electric pole near Nintikallu in the taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Lokanath (35), who was riding the bike at the time of the accident.

The incident occurred while he was returning home from Sullia. He sustained गंभीर injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Sullia, where he later succumbed to his injuries despite treatment.

Lokanath was working on a contract basis as a meter reader with MESCOM in Sullia.
