Sullia: Elderly woman dies after fall from upper floor

Sullia, Nov 29, 2025: An 85-year-old woman who had suffered serious injuries after falling from the upper floor of her house passed away near Sampaje checkpost in Sullia on Thursday.

The deceased, Kamala (85), originally from Umbale in Chembu village and currently residing near the Sampaje checkpost, reportedly slipped while coming down from the upper floor of her house and sustained severe injuries.

She was immediately shifted by ambulance to a private hospital in Sullia. However, she did not respond to treatment and succumbed to her injuries. A case has been registered at the Kallugundi Outpost.
