Sullia: Driver flees after refuelling car with petrol worth Rs 2,510 without paying

Sullia, Feb 14, 2026: A car driver allegedly drove away without settling the bill after refuelling at Nayyar Petrol Pump in Aranthodu on Friday, leaving the staff stunned.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver arrived at the petrol pump and filled petrol worth around ₹2,510 in his vehicle. When the staff asked him to make the payment, he suddenly started the car and sped off from the spot.

The shocked employees immediately informed the Jalluru Check Post and the local police about the incident.

Acting on the alert, personnel from the Jalluru Check Post, forest department staff, local auto drivers and petrol pump workers attempted to intercept the vehicle. They reportedly blocked the road and signalled the driver to stop, but he managed to evade them and fled towards Puttur.

No arrests have been made so far. Authorities have issued an alert in the surrounding areas to trace and apprehend the driver.
