Sullia: College student dies after consuming rat poison

Sullia, December 6, 2025: A college student who had fallen ill after consuming rat poison three days ago has died without responding to treatment. The incident occurred at Chikkuli in Guthigar, Sullia.

The deceased, Pooja, daughter of Sheshappa Gowda of Chikkuli, Guthigar, had reportedly consumed rat poison three days earlier. After she fell ill, she was shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru, where she was undergoing treatment.

Despite efforts, she did not recover and passed away on Friday. She is survived by her father, mother, brother, sister, and other family members.
