Sullia : 4 drug peddlers from Mangalore nabbed

Sullia, March 2, 2013  : Four drug peddlers  from Mangalore were arrested near Sampaje on March 1, Friday  in a joint operation by the Sullia police and the District Crime Investigation Bureau led by its inspector Vinay Nayak.

 Interrogations of the arrested revealed that they had planned to supply ganja to the under trials at the Madikeri prison.

The arrested are Prithvi Alva (38), Arun Shetty (38), Nelson D’Souza and Avinash. Nearly 1.10 kg ganja was seized from them apart from  a cash of Rs 35,049, six mobile phones and a car.

The arrested also reportedly confessed that they supplied drugs even to a Ravi Poojari associate named   Pradeep Mendon.
