Suicide attempt: Young pair from Bengaluru found critical on roadside at Kokkada

Puttur, June 23, 2025: A young pair was found in a critical state on the road side close by a forest area at Kokkada near Nelyady on Sunday night. It is suspected that they had consumed poison in a bid to end their lives. Both have been admitted to hospital by locals.

The young pair has been identified as Shreesha and Prajwal from Yelahanka in Bengaluru. Both have been shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru from Puttur. It is learnt, they had come to Dharmasthala from Bengaluru. On Sunday night they had travelled in a bus and had alighted near Kokkada.
