There is strong suspicion that more than 100 people were involved in the conspiracy behind Suhas Shetty’s murder. It is also believed that funds were circulated both at the state and international levels. Allegations have emerged that some Mangaluru police officers may have been involved in the case. Moreover, women accused of aiding in the murder have not yet been arrested.

Only a comprehensive investigation by a central agency like the NIA can bring out the full truth. However, it appears that the state government lacks the willingness to take such a decision. Therefore, MLAs from both coastal districts will urge the Governor to intervene in the matter, according to a press release by MLA Sunil Kumar.
