Subrahmanya: Two youths drown in the Kumaradhara River

Kadaba, Jan 19, 2026: A tragic incident occurred on Sunday when two youths drowned while bathing in the Kumaradhara River near Subrahmanya, a well-known pilgrimage center.

The deceased have been identified as Hariprasad (37) and Sujith (26), residents of Kollamogru in Sullia taluk.

Both were unmarried and had gone to the Kumaradhara River near Kulkunda along with their friends for a bath. During this time, the two reportedly drowned in the river.

The bodies of the two youths were later retrieved from the water. Subrahmanya police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
