Students must inculcate leadership qualities: MLA Shakuntala Shetty

Mangalore, Sep 21, 2013: The Installation of newly-elected committee of Post-Graduate All College Students’ Union was held at SDM college auditorium on Sep 21, Saturday.

Speaking after inaugurating the event, Puttur MLA Shakuntala Shetty said that the student leaders who are taken in the open jeep after the election, is not considered as leaders. But they must inculcate the leadership qualities and try to build friendly atmosphere among the students in the campus.

 

 

 

She also said that the student union leaders must try to solve the problems between the students and get it in front of public. They must avoid the interference of police and politicians in the situations.

Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have built its reputation through their talent, education and corruption free politicians. Further too the students must maintain the status of the districts. The elected leaders must follow Swami Vivekananda as their role model and lead other students in the path of light.

Presiding over the event, Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Prabhakar Neermarga said that the students union formed every year brings out new talents that help to take Mangalore into a greater height.
