Mangalore, Nov 10, 2013: The All College students Association has demanded formation of a special police team to investigate into the case of suspicious death of Akshatha, a second B.Com student of a government college at Carstreet. The Association staged a hunger strike in front of the DC office here on November 9, Saturday in support of the demand.
Addressing the protestors, Rakshith Poojari, President of the Association suspected foul play in the case and even pointed out that one Madan said to be the friend of Akshatha too was missing and his whereabouts not known.
The post-mortem report also does not throw light on the exact cause of Akshatha’s death, he said.
Akshatha’s mother Rajani also spoke on the occasion. It may be recalled here that Akshatha (18) who was reported missing on September 23 after she left for college, was found dead near an ice plant at Mulihitlu on September 25.
