Stern action against whoever behind Bengaluru violence: Home Minister Bommai

Udupi, August 12, 2020: State Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai who also happens to be the Udupi district-in-charge minister  has said that stern action would  be initiated  whoever may be behind the Bengaluru violence incident. The Minister who is presently in Udupi was referring to Tuesday night’s violent incidents in Bengaluru following the  attack on MLA Akhanda Srinivasa Murthi’s residence over a Facebook post.

 Stating  that stringent action would be taken in an unbiased manner, the minister said he has already spoken to high level officials and that additional police forces have been dispatched to the spot.

The government has given the police full powers to tackle the situation, the minister said.
