State level Cricket tournament for lawyers on March 9,10

 Mangalore, March 5, 2013 : A state level cricket tournament in memory of Advocate Yekkar Timmappa Hegde will be held at Nehru Maidan on March 9 and 10 under the joint aegis of Karnataka State Bar Council, Mangalore Bar Association and Y T Hegde Associates, Mangalore.

 

 

Informing this to reporters, Kallige Taranath Shetty, former  president of Mangalore Bar Association, said the tournament is in commemoration of Timmappa Hegde who was a well respected advocate.

Muniappa, Chairman of Karnataka State Bar Council, Bangalore, will inaugurate while Ashok G Nijagannavar, Principal District and Sessions Judge, will preside over the function.

On the same occasion, an inter-bar throwball tournament for women advocates of coastal districts will be inaugurated by Uma M G, II Additional District and Sessions Judge.

A portrait of Late Yekkar Thimmappa Hegde will be unveiled on March 10. High Court judges Justice B V Pinto,Justice S Abdul Nazeer and Justice Dr. K Bhaktavasala, Judge who is also the   Administrative Judge of the district will participate in the function.
