State cabinet meeting to be held in Mangaluru on September 18

Bengaluru, Aug 31, 2026: The state government has decided to hold a Cabinet meeting in Mangaluru on September 18, with a special focus on proposals concerning the coastal districts.

Ahead of the meeting, Chief Secretary Dr Shalini Rajneesh has directed the chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries of all government departments to immediately prepare comprehensive proposals related to the coastal region and submit the required Cabinet notes for consideration.

The Cabinet meeting in Mangaluru is expected to give a major push to development initiatives and key issues concerning the coastal belt, bringing renewed administrative focus to the region.
