Mangalore, Nov 9, 2013 : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the government has ordered a CBI investigation into the Sowjanya rape and murder case as per the request of her parents.
Speaking at the Mangalore airport on November 8, Friday, he however said the State Government has no authority to issue orders to get the probe done under the surveillance of the Supreme Court.
To another question, the CM said he has not received any letter from Belthangady Legislator Vasanth Bangera on the land grab cases in Dharmasthala.
On the proposed Karnataka Prevention of Superstitious Practices Bill 2013, the CM said a decision would be taken after reviewing the draft copy of the same.
He said the government has secured two draft copies from The National Law School of India University (NLSIU)
