The speaker has insulted a great leader  like Veerarani Abbakka who has fought against Portuguese and earned much  reputation for Tulunadu.  The speaker must resign from the post or must apologize for having insulted Rani Abbakka  without knowing history and her achievement, he demanded.

He was also critical of  the silence of Ullal MLA and Health Minister UT Khader  on the issue. Despite being the President of Rani Abbakka Utsava Samithi he has chosen not to condemn Kagodu’s statement, Kumar Malemar said.

The protestors also burnt the effigy of speaker Kagodu Thimmappa.

SRS members Jeevan Neermarga, Mahesh Bhat, Ganesh Attavar, Mahesh Padavinangady and others were present.
