Special Rath Yathra from Aug 18 to Sept 16 to mark Amma’s 60th birthday

  Mangalore, Aug 17, 2013: Matha Amritanandamayi Mutt will hold a special Rath Yatra as a part of Amma’s 60 birthday celebration. The Rath Yatra which will commence on August 18 will cover various parts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts till September 16.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on August 17, Saturday, C A Vaman Kamath, President of Mutt said that the Rath (Chariot) will display Amma’s life message, social, educational, medical and spiritual service towards the society through a VCD.

 

He also said that N Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University will inaugurate the Rath Yatra. In Mangalore,the Yathra will commence from Brahmasthana and conclude at Panambur Beach via Urwa Market, Lady Hill, Kuloor at 5.50 pm.

Panambur Beach CEO Yathish Baikampady will receive the Rath and devotees with a PoornaKumbha Swagatha at the Beach. Manjunath Revankar will release the first VCD documentary and MLA Moideen Bawa will be the chief guest.
