Souvenir ‘Shanthigagi Sahithya’ released

Mangalore, Oct 25, 2013: A souvenir entitled ‘Shanthigagi Sahithya’ (Literature for Peace) brought out by Shanthi Prakashana to commemorate its 20th anniversary, was released by Dr CP Habeeb Rahman, Chairman of Unity Health Complex at a function held in the city on October 24, Thursday.

 

In his address Dr. Rahman  attributed the rising violence in the society to the ignorance of the masses  regarding the significance of the freedom of speech and knowledge.

Mohammad Kunhi, Manager of Shanthi Prakashana  also spoke on the occasion.

Shanthi Prakashana has chalked out a variety of programmes including book fair, seminars, poetry meets etc to mark its 20th anniversary.
