Southern Railway announces changes in train timings

Mangalore, July 4: The Southern Railway has changed the timings of 12 trains, one of which leaves from Mangalore Central and the other from Mangalore Junction.

Accordingly, the Thiruvanthapuram - Lokmanya Tilak Terminal Mumbai No. 16346 will leave 50 minutes early. Instead of leaving Mangalore Junction at 12:20 a.m., it will leave at 11:30 p.m.

The Mangalore Central – Kabaka Puttur Passenger No. 56647 will leave at 10:15 a.m. instead of 10:20 a.m.

The departure time of Mangalore Central – Lokmanya Tilak Matsyagandha Express No. 12620 has been advanced 2:35 p.m. instead of 2:40 p.m., the new timings will come into effect only from Nov 1. As of now, the train will leave at 12:50 p.m. till Oct 1.

The Chennai Superfast No. 12686 and the Puducherry Express No. 16044 will leave Mangalore at 4:10 p.m. instead of 4:00 p.m. The Mangalore Central to Jammu Tawi Navyug Express No. 16687 will leave at 5.05 p.m. instead of 4:20 p.m. The Mangalore Central – Chennai Egmore Express No. 16108 will leave at 6.50 p.m. instead of 6.40 p.m. and Mangalore Central – Chennai West Coast Express No. 16628 will leave at 9.45 p.m. instead of 9:30 p.m.

The Maveli Express No. 16603) will leave at 5.45 p.m. instead of 5.40 p.m., the Ernad Express No. 16605 will leave at 7:20 a.m. instead of 7:10 a.m., the Malabar Express No. 16630 will leave at 6:25 p.m. instead of 6:15 p.m., and the Parashuram Express No. 16649 will leave at 4:40 a.m. instead of 4:15 a.m.

The Mumbai – Chatrapathi Shivaji – Mangalore Junction Express No. 12134, which usually runs thrice weekly, will become a daily train from Saturday. It will leave Mangalore Junction at 2 p.m., while the train no. 12133 from Mumbai will reach Mangalore at 12.25 p.m.

Although the Yeshwanthpura – Mangalore Central Express (day train) will be extended to Karwar, the date on which this is to happen has not yet been announced. The train will halt at Mangalore Junction, Udupi, Mookambika Road, Bhatkal, and Kumta.

The Mangalore Central to Palakkad Superfast Train No. 22609/22610 will leave Mangalore at 1:40 p.m. and will leave from Palakkad at 7:25 a.m. But the date on which this is to happen has not yet been announced.

The Mangalore – Howrah Superfast No. 22852/22851 will run once n a week. It will leave Mangalore at 10.45 p.m. on every Saturday. However, the date on which the service is to commence has not yet been announced. This train will pass through places such as Kasargod, Kannur, Vadagara, Calicut, Shornoor, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Kattadi, Chittur, Thirupathi, Renigunta, Vishakapattanam, Shrikakulam Road, Brahmapura, Bhuvaneshwar, Katak, Balasore, Kharagapura, and Santhragachi.
