Souharda Christmas Utsav, Wine Carnival Inaugurated at Kadri Park

Mangaluru, Dec 13, 2025: The two-day ‘Souharda Christmas Utsav’, jointly organised by the St Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike and the Catholic Sabha, Mangaluru Pradesh, along with a Wines & Spiritz ‘Wine Carnival’, was inaugurated at Kadri Park here on Saturday.

The event opened with a prayer and blessing by Fr Sudeep Paul, director of Sandesha Foundation, invoking peace and harmony. State-level skating sportsperson Yuvaraj D Kundar formally inaugurated the festival by cutting the Christmas cake and was felicitated for his achievements at national-level competitions.

In his keynote address, Dr Charles Furtado, director of St Aloysius, spoke on the message of Christmas and the relevance of values such as love, compassion and service to humanity. Social activist Muneer Katipalla praised the initiative, saying the celebration effectively conveyed the spirit of unity and harmony.

Several dignitaries and office bearers of the organising bodies were present at the inauguration.
