Someshwara Uchila fishermen catch huge Ray Fish

Mangaluru, Sep 28, 2023: Fishermen of Someshwara Uchila, on September 27, Wednesday evening have netted a huge Ray fish, locally known as Pili Torake. The fish weighed 75 kg.

 

The huge fish was netted when country boat fishermen Shailesh, Chandra, Azeez, Kalpesh and Shambhu cast the net. They say this is the largest fish caught so far this year.

This variety of fish normally fetches Rs 200 per kg. However on account of Eid, fishermen decided to share the fish amongst themselves rather than selling it.
