Snehalaya Asylum for Women, Chapel inauguration by UAE Exchange President on Jan 26

Mangaluru, Jan 21, 2019: Snehalaya Pyscho-Social Rehabilitation Asylum for Women and Snehalaya Chapel  will be inaugurated at Pavoor in Manjeshwar on January 26 by Y Sudhir Kumar Shetty, President UAE Exchange Worldwide. The inaugural  will be held to mark the decennial  of the Snehalaya Charitable Trust.

Informing this to reporters here on January 21, Monday, Joseph Crasta, Founder and President of the Trust said Mangaluru Diocese Bishop Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha will  bless the Chapel and will also be the main celebrant of the Eucharist. He informed that  Bareilly Bishop Dr Ignatius D’Souza will bless the women’s Block while Capuchin Provincial-Karnataka province Bengaluru Fr Joseph Dolphy Pais will bless the grotto of our lady of Lourdes.

The decennial souvenir will be released by  Vicar of  St Alphonsa Forance Church, Kankanady Fr Sebastian Chalackappally.

The old age home for women will be declared open by Abdul Latif, Chairman of Aishal Foundation while the  Snehalaya Dining Hall will be inaugurated  by Chancellor of Yenepoya University Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi.

A host of dignitaries including former MLA of Mangaluru South JR Lobo, MLC Ivan D’Souza,  former president of Konkani Sahitya Academy Roy Castelino, Manjeshwar MLA C H Kunhambu,  Manjeshwar Panchayat President Abdul Aziz will participate as chief guests.
