Shrinivas Shetty’s supporters call for bundh

Kundapur, Jul 13, 2012 : The supporters of Halady Shrinivas Shetty called for a bundh in Kundapur on July 13, Friday to protest against Yeddyurappa, former chief minister of Karnataka, and Jagadish Shettar, the new chief minister.

 

 

They forced shop owners to pull down their shutters and lit fires on the roads. Kishore Kumar, president of the Kundapur unit of the BJP, Mohandas Shenoy of the town municipality, and many others are leading the protest.

Eleven members of the Udupi Municipal Council resigned as a mark of protest against Shettar and Yeddyurappa.

Protests were held in several places such as Halady, Kundapura, and Bittalkatte.
