Short circuit causes fire in building at KS Rao Road

Mangalore, Jan 16, 2013: A fire broke out inside the two-storied Krishna Prasad building located near Vishwa Bhavan at KS Rao Road on  January 15, Tuesday night at around 7.45 pm. Four fire tender vehicles which rushed to the spot extinguished the  fire and rescued the eight  persons who were inside the office. A short circuit in the electricity meter is   suspected to have  caused the fire. However, no one was injured.

The fire  though caused panic in the area, did not cause much damage except for gutting electrical wiring and some goods inside the building  which housed the offices of lawyers and banks.
