Bangalore, Jan4,2013 : Probably, for the first time since the Jagadish Shettar government took charge, Energy Minister and Yeddyurappa confidante Shobha Karandlaje has   chosen to take a dig at the  government by blaming it for deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Shobha’s latest comments are believed to be an indication of her next political move- to follow the footsteps of former CM and KJP Chief BS Yeddyurappa.

Shobha chose to target the government a day after her letter to the CM seeking stringent laws to deal with crime against women, failed to get any response from the government.

Pointing out to the nearly 20 rape cases reported from the state in the past two months, Shobha strongly advocated stricter punishment including castration for rapists. Sources say the Delhi gang rape incident gave a good tool in her hands  to attack the government.

Though it is not yet sure as to how many BJP MLAs and ministers would follow BSY, Shobha is learnt to have made it  clear to her confidants that she would  not wait for others, but would soon  quit the BJP to join Yeddyurappa party.
