Whenever questioned, Ms. Rebello complains that she does not get funds to do the work as the district is being ruled by the BJP, he said and challenged Ms. Rebello to organize a protest with the people if this is the case so that the authorities can supply her required funds.

Speaking about funds allocated for road repairs, he said that former CMs D. V. Sadananda Gowda and B. S. Yeddyurappa had stated that they had allocated Rs. 100 crore each for development of roads, but the public does not know what happened to this money. He said that the people are now going to collect funds and hand it over to Gretta Rebello so that she can initiate the road repair work.

Gerald Towers, dressed as a beggar, went around begging for alms. He said that the people of Ward 34 are facing a number of problems. Besides bad roads, they have improper drainage system, no proper street lights, and no proper sign boards. Even autos refuse to come to that area.

Flaying Gretta Rebello for her failure to listen to the people’s problems and find solutions for it, he said that they will fight to get good roads because they pay their taxes on time.

The people collected Rs. 2,350, which will be used to raise signboards pointing to ESI Hospital.
