Sheldon Crasta is new Chief of ICYM Central Council

Mangalore, July 8, 2013: Sheldon Crasta  from Bendore is the new President of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Central Council of Mangalore Diocese.

He was unanimously elected at the 66th annual general meeting of the ICYM held at Rosario Church Hall on July 7, Sunday.

Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese, presided over the function. Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo was the chief guest urged the youth to actively involve themselves in such organizations.

Fr JB Crasta, Parish Priest of Rosario Church, Fr Ronald D’Souza, Director of ICYM were the chief guests.  Outstanding units of ICYM were honoured on the occasion. ICYM Balkunje was declared the best  unit followed by Moodbidri and Paladka units.
