Shankarmurthy and Ganesh Karnik are among the four to win in the Legislative Council election

Mangalore, June 13, 2012: The Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) has emerged victorious in four of the six constituencies, including 3 teachers’ constituencies and 3 graduates’ constituencies. D H Shankarmurthy and Ganesh Karnik are among the four to win in the Legislative Council election held on June 10, Sunday. The votes were counted on June 13, Wednesday. 

The BJP celebrated its victory in the district BJP office by bursting crackers, distributing sweets, and shouting slogans in honor of the candidates who won. 

 

 

 

 

 

Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker of the state legislative assembly, and Rajgopal Rai, the BJP leader, congratulated the winners and thanked all those who cast their votes in favor of BJP candidates.

A number of BJP leaders and BJP workers took part in these celebrations.
