Sexual harassment case : Accused lawyer still not arrested

Mangaluru, Oct 26, 2021: The failure of the police to arrest advocate K S N Rajesh Bhat who is facing sexual harassment charges from a law graduate who was interning under him,  has drawn flak from activists.

 

Many are questioning why the accused is not arrested even a week after the FIR lodged against him, Though two police officials including a lady SI have been suspended for dereliction of duty in connection with the case.

The main accused advocate is said to be absconding and has also reportedly applied for anticipatory bail. Meanwhile, the Bar council has barred him from practising.

 The victim has pleaded for justice and wants the  accused to be arrested. The City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar had earlier said that the police have taken this case seriously and had also  appointed IPS officer Ranjith Bandaru as the investigation officer.  He  has also said that the probe was underway and that the accused will be arrested.
