Several associations extend support to Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev

Mangalore, June 3, 2012: The Bharat Swabhiman Trust, Women’s Patanjali Yoga Samithi and Kissan Panchayat Karnataka held a day-long fast in front of DC Office on June 3, Sunday to express their support of Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev. 

Senior Kannada litterateur Erya Laxminarayan Alva inaugurated the protest and said that the evil practice of corruption will only be reduced if the younger generation takes a firm stand to oppose it completely from the country.

He also said that Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare are  leading a satyagraha to get back the Rs. 400 lakh crore in black money stashed away in Swiss banks, adding that it is shameful on the part of leaders to stash away tax money in Swiss banks. 

Simultaneously, he said that they have faith in the judiciary since the Lokayukta court has sentenced Sampangi. 

Members of organization Hanumanth Kamath, Dr Jnaneshwari Nayak, Jayashree, Raghavendra Rao, Ira Nemu Poojary, BJP leader Sathish Prabhu, Jagadeesh Shetty, Padmanabha Shetty and others were present.
