Separate cases: Two people commit suicide

Kota, August 9, 2024: A person named Chikka, who was suffering from a mental illness, committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near his home on the morning of August 9. A case has been filed at the Kota Police Station.

Udupi: Shankar (45), the son of Rajamma from Badagubettu, who worked at a jewelry shop, committed suicide by hanging himself in his bedroom on the morning of August 8. He was reportedly distressed over being unable to raise the necessary money to settle a payment with the jeweler. A case has been filed at the Udupi City Police Station.
