Mangalore, Oct 5, 2012 : The Association of First Grade College Principals organized a seminar titled “Recent Developments in Higher Education in India” at SDM College on Oct 5, Friday. Dr. S. Ramanada Shetty, vice chancellor of Nitte University, inaugurated the event.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Shetty said that the country lacks a proper education policy, owing to which higher education is a hot topic for debate, discussion, and deliberation. Since higher education in India is over a century old, it is high time those in the field analyze the country’s progress in higher education.
Dr. Manjula, principal of Besant Women’s College; Rev. Dr. J. S. Saldanha, principal of Milagres College; and Fr. Swebert D’Silva, principal of St. Aloysius College, were also present.
