Selfie tragedy : Young woman slips into sea from light house at Gokarna

Bhatkal, May 30, 2016 :  In a tragedy that occurred due to the selfie craze of youngsters, a young woman who was clicking a selfie from the light house at Gokarna Beach on May 29, Sunday has drowned after slipping into the sea.

The deceased woman has been identified as Pranitha Mehta (22) from Rajasthan. She was part of a group of  10 college friends from Jodhpur Law College  who  had arrived in Gokarna after visiting Goa and Mumbai.

Her body was later retrieved with the assistance of locals. Gokarna police have registered a case.
