Security stepped up across the coast of the state

Mangaluru, May 8, 2025: A high alert has been sounded across the coast of the state in the backdrop of the operation Sindoor of the Indian forces against Pakistan’s terrorist bases.

Security has been stepped up in Mangaluru, Malpe, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Hejamady, Honnavar, Belekeri and Gangolli. Over 340 personnel have been deployed in the nine CSP police station limits. A strict vigil is being maintained through 13 patrol boats and jet skis.

On May 7, Wednesday patrol boats conducted surveillance in the old port area in Mangaluru. Coast Guard vessels are also patrolling the area round the clock.
