Scouts and guides unit inaugurated in Shantiniketana School

Udupi, aug 19, 2011 : Ramananda Bhat, the president of Lions Club Udupi, inaugurated the Scouts and Guides unit in Shantiniketana English Medium Higher Primary School in Alevoor. He also distributed uniforms worth Rs. 25 lakhs, donated from the Lions Club and Lioness Club.

Varambally, the scouts and guides trainer; Kanakalakshmi, the president of Lioness Club; Shridhara Shenava of the Lions District Cabinet; Rajalakshmi Prabhakara Bhat, the district commissioner of the Guides; Harish Kini, the president of the Alevoor Gram Panchayat; and Alevoor Ganapathi Kini, the president of the Alevoor Group for Education were the prominent people present.

Rupa D. Kini, the principal, welcomed the guests and the gathering. Dinesh Kini delivered the introductory address. Sudha Putraya was the MC.
