School bus rolls off bridge at Nellikunje : 11 special school children injured

Kasargod, June 24, 2014:  A school bus belonging to a  special school at  Alampady rolled off a bridge  and fell into the  river near Nellikunje on June 23, Monday evening injuring as many as 11 children.

The bus was ferrying the children back home from school when the driver reportedly lost control while passing through the bridge. Even the driver sustained injuries in the mishap.

The fire service personnel and locals came to the rescue of the kids and shifted them to the hospital. The bus was later removed from the spot.

The injured children are undergoing treatment at the Kasargod General Hospital.
