Saviour of many lives ‘Netravathi Aboobakker’ is no more

Puttur, Aug 29, 2013 :  Aboobakker (62), a resident of Uppinangady who was popularly known as Netravathi Aboobakker  for saving many a lives from drowning, is no more.

He  died of a cardiac arrest on August 28, Wednesday.

Aboobakker, a brave man had saved a number of people from drowning in the Netravathi and never hesitated to rush to save lives whenever he received a distress call.

He was an expert swimmer and diver and also good at catching snakes.
