Saudi road mishap claims life of Nandavar youth

Bantwal, Aug 16, 2013 : Mohammad Irshad (23) hailing from Nandavar near Panemangalore, who worked as a driver for  a cargo firm  in Saudi Arabia  met a tragic end when his vehicle collided with another vehicle  earlier this month.

Irshad who had  left in his goods carrier vehicle on August 5 had been missing since then. His family’s efforts to trace him went futile as even the   cargo firm had closed on account of Ramzan. It was only when the firm resumed services after Ramzan and after enquiry that it came to light that Irshad had died in a road mishap.

Irshad, the eldest of the four sons of Abdul Hameed, a resident of near Nandavara School, had been to the Gulf  three and a half years ago. After working  for   two years in Doha he had joined work in the cargo firm  as a driver.

His family sources said arrangements are being made to bring the body to hometown for  the last  rites.
