Sanjeeva Bolar receives Vishukumar Prashasti

Mangalore, Nov 4, 2012: Pundalika Halimbi, president of the Kannada Sahitya Academy, conferred the Vishukumar Prashasthi on senior writer and novelist Sanjeeva Bolar at the Koragappa Memorial Hall of Shri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple in Kudroli on Saturday.

On this occasion, Damodar Nisarga, president of Tulu Koota, released Kadina Hakki Hadithu, an anthology of poems by B. Timmaiah, income tax officer.

 

Harikrishna Punaroor, former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishad, released a book on Narayana Guru by Muddumoodubelle and spoke about the socio religious contributions of Narayana Guru.

The Prabhakar Neermarga Yuvavahni Sahitya Prashasti was conferred on Kumari Chandrika of Addur Sahara High School.

Umanath Kotian, president of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, presided over the event and the chief guest was Dr. Ishwar Alemore, editor of Akshaya.
