Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management Holds 15th MBA Graduation Ceremony

Mangaluru, March 1, 2026: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management celebrated the 15th Graduation Day of its MBA Batch 2023–25 on February 28, honouring 175 MBA graduates and three PhD awardees at a formal function on campus.

Aditya Gupta, Chief Operating Officer, Supply Chain Management Centre, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, was the Chief Guest. Preeta Saxena, Head – HR, Teachmint Technologies Pvt. Ltd., was the Guest of Honour. The ceremony was presided over by Principal S. S. Injaganeri in the presence of Vice Principal and Controller of Examinations Dr Sudheer Shetty, Dean (Academics) Dr Shamanth Rai, Trustee Jagannath Chowta and MBA Programme Director Dr Vishal Samartha.

Welcoming the gathering, Dr Vishal Samartha greeted the graduates and guests, following which Dr Aditya Gupta formally declared the ceremony open.

The top 10 rank holders were presented by Dr Sudheer Shetty and felicitated by the dignitaries. The first rank holder received the Sahyadri Gold Medal, while the top three rank holders were presented special awards instituted by the Sahyadri Group of Institutions Employees and Students Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Ltd. Three PhD scholars who completed their doctoral studies in 2025 at the Sahyadri Research Centre were also honoured.

In his graduation address, Dr Aditya Gupta shared insights from his professional journey and outlined ten life lessons for the graduates. Emphasising resilience, he said success is built through experience and perseverance. He underscored the importance of soft skills alongside technical competence and advised students to prioritise learning and growth over salary packages. Stressing integrity and loyalty, he urged graduates to build trust, safeguard their health and live with purpose.

Addressing the gathering, Ms Preeta Saxena described the present era as transformative and said organisations value strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. She encouraged graduates to remain technologically adept, embrace continuous learning and stay grounded while taking calculated risks.

In his presidential remarks, Dr S. S. Injaganeri reminded students to acknowledge the support of their parents and families in their achievements. He assured that the institution’s doors would always remain open to alumni and invited them to contribute through internships, placements and participation in the annual alumni meet held on the last Saturday of December.

The ceremony concluded with the conferring of degrees on the MBA graduates and an oath-taking ceremony administered by Dr Sudheer Shetty.
