SVT Car Festival celebrations conclude with Avabritha Utsav

Mangalore, Feb 9, 2014 :  The six-day festivities of the Annual Car Festival of the Sri Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet in Mangalore concluded with the Avabhritha Utsav wherein the  idol of the deity was offered a Theertha Snana at the temple lake on  February 8, Friday night.

 

 

 This was followed by dehoisting of the temple flag, Maha Pooja and prasada distribution. Thousands of devotees were present on the occasion.

Srimad Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji, the anointed successor and disciple of Srimad Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji, the senior pontiff  of Kashi Mutt Samsthan was present at the temple throughout the festivities  and guided all the rituals. The Junior Swamiji has now proceeded to Chempi where he will be camping for a few days.
