SSLC 2026 results: Dakshina Kannada tops Karnataka with 98.40%, Udupi student scores perfect 625

Bengaluru, Apr 24, 2026: The results of the SSLC Examination 2026 for the academic year 2025-26 were announced on Thursday, April 23, on the official website of the Education Department.

Following the announcement, Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa addressed a press conference at the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board office in Malleswaram, Bengaluru, and shared details of the results.

The minister said that 94.1 percent of students have passed the SSLC examination this year, describing it as a record performance. A total of seven students secured a perfect score of 625 out of 625 marks.

Girls outperform boys again

Out of the 7,70,209 students who appeared for the examination, 7,24,794 students passed successfully.

Girls once again outperformed boys, recording a pass percentage of 96.18 percent, while boys registered 91.94 percent. Out of 3,92,922 girls, 3,77,922 passed, while 3,46,872 out of 3,77,287 boys cleared the examination.

Dakshina Kannada first, Udupi second

Dakshina Kannada district secured the top position in the state with an impressive pass percentage of 98.40 percent, while Udupi district stood second with 98.18 percent. Kalaburagi district recorded the lowest performance with 85.06 percent.

Pritam Poojary of Mother Teresa English Medium School, Shankaranarayana, scored a perfect 625 out of 625 marks.

Students of Karkala Jnanasudha English Medium High School, Mahalaxmi Bhagav and Mahalaxmi Pai B, scored 624 marks each, emerging as top performers from the institution.

Shadhvi P V of Alva’s School, Moodbidri, scored 622 marks.

The SSLC examinations were conducted from March 18 to April 2 across 2,870 examination centres in the state.
