SP Labhu Ram transferred to Davanagere

Mangalore, Jan 1, 2012: The government of Karnataka has transferred a number of police officers, including Labhu Ram, the superintendent of police of DK. He has been posted as the superintendent of police of Davanagere. 

Mr. Ram had taken over as the superintendent of DK from Dr. A. Subrahmanyeshwar Rao, the then superintendent of police of DK. 

Abhishek Goyal will take over from Labhu Ram. 

Mr. Ram has been transferred following complaints from the Sangh Parivar regarding police atrocity on some of their members who had pelted stones at the Sullia Police Station. 

Following the attack on the police station, a couple of police officers were suspended, an action that was taken on the basis of a report submitted by Bipin Gopalkrishna, the state additional director of police, who had conducted an inquiry into the case.
