SIR: EC to issue notices to over 2.4 lakh voters in DK and Udupi districts

Mangaluru/ Udupi, Aug 21, 2026: With the draft electoral roll prepared as per the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) set to be published on August 24, the Election Commission (EC) will send notices to as many as 2.47 lakh voters in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

The notices will be issued to them as their names mismatch with the names mentioned in the 2002 electoral roll and names of some of them have not been mapped, according to the EC officials.
