Rs 3.4 lakh unaccounted cash hidden in autorickshaw seized at Talapady

Mangalore, Mar 29, 2014 : Unaccounted cash worth Rs 3.4 lakh found in an autorickshaw  of Kerala registration was seized by the election squad while checking vehicles near the Talapady check post on March 28, Friday.

Dr Prashanth, Assistant Election officer of Mangalore Assembly constituency unit, informed that the autorickshaw was heading towards Mangalore from Kasargod. However, the autorickshaw when checked did not have any election campaign  material except the cash.

The cash has been handed over to the Income Tax Department for further enquiry into the case,  he said.
