Rs 2.91 lakhs released by govt for Naxal area development: DC

Mangalore, Sep 19, 2013 : Deputy Commissioner N Prakash has informed that a sum of Rs 2,91,600 has been released so far for development of  Naxal affected areas of the district.

Participating in the   Naxal area development review meeting held at his office on September 18, Wednesday, the DC said  so far projects worth Rs 92,904 have been completed. 

He further said a sum of Rs 4,84,934 was required for the  various works  proposed to be undertaken in the Naxal hit areas of the district and added that the works  are being entrusted to the PWD, respective taluk and gram panchayats, Home Guards and Public Education Department.
