Round 3 of Fide Rated Chess tournament concludes

Mangalore, April 30, 2012 : Akash Thakur defeated C. H. Meghana of Andhra Pradesh and shared the lead with 3 points after the third round of the 1st UKCA Cup All India Open Fide Rated Chess Tournament held on Sunday.

 

While Akash scored over Meghana, Arjuan Vairavan of Singapore defeated Aruna Dinakara of Karnataka.

Ritviz Parab, Anurag Mhamal, Rohan Ahuja, Anirudh Bhat, Naik Rishub Naresh, Niraj Saripalli, L. Vivekananda, V. Raghavendra, K. Durgesh, Vaibhav Bhat, Pranav Vijay, and A. Akshaya are all sharing the lead a 3 points with Akash.

Sharan Rao of St. Theresa High School had a draw against Bhagyashree Thipsay, the Woman International Master. Varma Shabdhik of Dharmasthala, a student of SDM English Medium School in Ujire, had a draw against M. Kunal of Tamil Nadu.
