Rotten eggs supplied to pregnant woman at Kavoor Anganavadi

Mangaluru, Aug 11, 2023: It has been alleged that the eggs supplied to a pregnant woman at the Kavoor Anganavadi Kendra were rotten. The woman’s husband has complained that his wife fell sick after eating the omelette made from these eggs and was in hospital for four days. He also claimed that another relative who ate the eggs too fell sick.

 

According to the man out of the 25 eggs provided last month, 21 were rotten.

Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Papa Bowi said officials have been instructed to visit the Anganavadi and gather information regarding the incident.
