Robbery bid: Thieves ram JCB into ATM centre at Suratkal

Mangaluru, Aug 04, 2023: An attempt to rob cash from an ATM centre at Suratkal by ramming a JCB into the centre, has been reported on August 3, Friday night.

 

 

However the attempt was foiled as the emergency siren sounded as soon as the ATM glass was shattered. The ATM centre located in Jayashree Commercial Complex, belonged to South Indian Bank. It is learnt the thieves escaped soon after in the JCB. The activities of the thieves have been trapped in CCTV footages of the ATM and police are investigating the case.

DCP Dinesh Kumar and other senior police officials visited the spot. Finger print experts and canine squad has also been pressed into service.
